Michael (‘Jakey’) ran our sub assembly & gearbox shop at Benetton in the years from 1990 to 1996. In that time not only was the team proud of its success but it was also proud of its reliability – something attributable in no small part to the attention to detail Michael showed not just in his own work but in the mentorship, he provided for all his staff. I am happy not just to recommend his work but would not hesitate in entrusting him with any jobs that I needed done.
